Inspired Teaching Fellows share findings from yearlong inquiry, research projects
On June 2, the 2013 Inspired Teaching Fellows presented findings from their yearlong, teacher inquiry projects. Through these independent research projects, Fellows had the opportunity to ask and answer authentic questions by studying their own teaching practice and their role as changemakers.

On April 30, Real World History students competed in DC’s 2015 National History Day, with two students winning the group documentary competition.
Center for Inspired Teaching awarded Good Neighbor grant from Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
Center for Inspired Teaching announced today that it has been awarded a Good Neighbor grant from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation in support of the Inspired Teacher Certification Program and its inquiry-based summer school model.
Class featured by LEGO Foundation screens the final film
On April 20, third grade teacher and 2013 Inspired Teaching Fellow Mr. Zia Hassan screened two short films with his students. The films, created by the LEGO Foundation, featured Mr. Hassan’s classroom and premiered in Denmark at the 2015 LEGO Idea Conference.

The Inspired Teaching Demonstration School was named “Best Middle School” in the Washington City Paper’s “Best of DC” 2015 Readers’ Poll. The Demonstration School was also a runner-up finalist in the “Best Elementary School” category.
