Speak Truth 24-25 Event Registration

Through student-led conversations, Speak Truth participants learn to productively and respectfully discuss current, controversial topics. These thought-provoking conversations teach students to defend their stances on myriad issues and help them develop and recognize the power of their voices. As a national model for civic discourse and dialogue among young people, Speak Truth seminars have the power to shape a generation of socially conscious future leaders and citizens who can build a better future for us all.

During the 2024-2025 school year, we’ll hold weekly Speak Truth sessions at MLK Library in Washington, DC, for all area high school students who can attend in person!

Survey of Academic and Youth Outcomes-Youth Survey (SAYO-Y) Consent: Center for Inspired Teaching is funded by the Office of Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes (OST Office), a DC Government agency. As a grantee, we are required to share participant information with the OST Office that may be collected on the enrollment form such as full name, date of birth, school name, demographics, and age. In addition, we are required to administer a questionnaire called the Survey of Academic and Youth Outcomes (SAYO-Y). The SAYO-Y is a brief survey with questions about what your child thinks of the program and of the potential benefits of attending the program. All information collected through the SAYO-Y is confidential and no individual child or their individual responses will be identified. Participation in the SAYO-Y is voluntary. Does Center for Inspired Teaching have permission for the enrolled child to be included in the SAYO-Y survey?(Required)
