Hooray for Monday is a weekly blog filled with questions, ideas, reflections, and actions we can all take to remodel the school experience for students.

I am so excited to be able to share with you our SY 2021-2022 toolkit for teachers and school leaders. Making School Worth It: A Hopeful Toolkit from Inspired Teaching for the 2021-2022 School Year is here!

Our Guide combines the inspirational with the practical, and offers concrete tools for teachers and school leaders to help ensure kids and adults thrive during this challenging year.

 The Toolkit includes:

  • Six Ways to Make School Worth It This Year…
1-Collect meaningful data. 2-Prioritize relationship building. 3-Support student agency. 4-Teach critical media literacy. 5-Listen! 6-Take care of yourself.
  • Fostering Strong Relationships…
Concrete, research-backed strategies for building relationships with your students and colleagues, and supporting your students in building relationships with one another.
  • FREE Professional Development Opportunities for Teachers and School Leaders…
A calendar with dates and themes for the 2021-2022 Inspired Teaching Institutes, including All Ideas Count; The HeART of Discipline; Trusting Yourself; and Finding Laughter.
  • Meeting Student Needs…
Strategies for identifying, understanding, and addressing unmet needs in your students (and your colleagues…) – includes the Inspired Teaching classic the ABCDEs of Learner Needs.
  • Prioritizing Joy…
A how-to that walks users through the process of shifting from fear to joy.

We’ve jumped through more hoops than we can bear to count to get kids and adults back into buildings. Let’s work together to make the learning exceptional this year – for our students, and ourselves.

As always, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us your feedback on the toolkit. I hope this new resource brightens your Monday, and beyond.

Warmly,
Aleta
