On May 6, Inspired Teaching’s Fellows Advisory Board (FAB) hosted a screening and discussion of the film Good Morning, Mission Hill: The Power to Teach, The Power to Learn, a film about the Mission Hill School, a public pilot school established in 1997 in Boston by education innovator Deborah Meier and a team of teachers.
The evening event – held at Shaw Library in Washington, DC – brought together educators, parents, and interested members of the community to discuss ways to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills as well as content.
Inspired Teaching mentor and founding teacher at Mission Hill, Emily Gasoi, co-hosted the event and facilitated the post-screening discussion.

The mission of FAB is to cultivate a professional network of Inspired Teaching Fellows while informing program initiatives, including support for Fellows currently enrolled in the program. FAB will be planning social events, professional events, and serving in an advisory capacity for the Inspired Teacher Certification Program.
