What if we called teachers Nation Builders?

Inspired Teaching’s Director of Teaching and Learning, Jessica Hiltabidel, was recently interviewed by CGTN America. In a cross-cultural analysis of student achievement, Hiltabidel explained how educators can change their perspective to emphasize authentic engagement while pursuing strong test scores. She suggests the United States education community should elevate teacher status, learning from the Eastern and Southeast Asian countries that refer to teachers as “Nation Builders.”
