Why a school?

Since 1995 Inspired Teaching has earned a reputation for working to improve DC schools by investing in the teachers who keep them going. Over the years many DC educators have become Inspired Teachers - transforming their practice so it meets the needs of the whole child, intellectually, emotionally, and physically. Through innovative courses, new teacher certification, and mentoring for new and experienced teachers, we have seen what is possible when classrooms are engaging, teachers are revitalized, and children are challenged to achieve their full potential. But the time has come to add a new dimension to the way we are pushing for change.

For years there has been a growing desire in DC, and beyond, to see what the Inspired Teaching approach would look like if it were happening in every classroom throughout a school.
