On April 21 at the Embassy of Italy, Inspired Teaching hosted Chocolate Inspiration, a gala celebrating 20 years of Inspired Teaching and featuring the finest DC-area chefs who prepared and served their most inspired chocolate creations. This year’s special 20th Anniversary celebration honored author and activist Jonathan Kozol with the inaugural Inspired Teaching Changemaker Award.

In addition to remarks from Mr. Kozol and Inspired Teaching’s Aleta Margolis and Jane Ehrenfeld, the event also featured a short video in which Mr. Kozol reflected on the powerful role of the teacher as changemaker and on his own career of more than fifty years fighting for equity in America’s schools.

Thank you to Mr. Kozol, Inspired Teachers everywhere, and all the members of the Inspired Teaching community who came to celebrate and support Inspired Teaching’s mission and vision for the future.
